Intelligence Analyst Senior

Opportunity for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join an IT Operations Program for a federal government customer. We are seeking an experienced Counter terrorism Intelligence Analyst to join a mission-critical IT operations program supporting a federal government customer. In this role, you will directly contribute to efforts supporting the identification, mitigation, and analysis of threats while providing actionable intelligence to advance the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) mission.

As a senior analyst, your expertise will be instrumental in developing intelligence products and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

You will engage as a key contributor to national security efforts by delivering high-quality intelligence that enables informed decision-making and enhances operations supporting CBP’s goals. Your role will require working with diverse teams to execute analysis, identify intelligence gaps, generate recommendations, and prepare actionable briefings. As part of an agile team, you will:

  • Conduct intelligence analysis and produce high-quality analytic products.
  • Identify intelligence gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to share insights.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings to diverse audiences.
  • Apply a range of analytic tools and methodologies to develop intelligence products.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As an Intelligence Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the CBP mission. Your expertise will contribute to identifying and mitigating threats other illicit activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth intelligence analysis and generating high-quality analytic products.
  • Identifying intelligence gaps and developing recommendations to address them.
  • Researching and analyzing actors, activities, or networks associated with various threat categories, such as terrorism or transnational criminal organizations.
  • Analyzing trade, travel, and financial transactions to identify trends, risks, and threat actors.
  • Collaborating effectively with Intelligence Community (IC) partners, federal stakeholders, and decision-makers to gather requirements and share insights.
  • Applying analytic methodologies and tools to process structured and unstructured data for actionable intelligence.
  • Producing regular and ad-hoc intelligence products, including comprehensive reports, data visualizations, and briefs to inform CBP operations.
  • Utilizing Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOT), Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COT), or custom analytic tools to analyze and model networks or datasets.
  • Performing data extraction and querying operations from structured data sources using SQL or non-SQL methods.
  • Supporting the refinement and testing of visualization and reporting tools.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations or briefings to leadership as needed.

    Demonstrating strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in intelligence analysis or a related analytic/research role, preferably in counter terrorism or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise written and verbal reports for operational and senior‑level decision‑making purposes.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience handling complex data sets to identify trends, threats, and actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in utilizing analytic tools, software, and methodologies for intelligence analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including federal agencies, intelligence entities, or operational units.
  • Must be a US citizen able to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance and successfully pass CBP Background Investigation (BI) and attain EOD to start work.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Intelligence, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data analytics, database management, or cybersecurity are desirable.
