Role OverviewWe are seeking senior Customer Engagement Managers / Portfolio Leaders with strong experience managing large-scale enterprise AWS cloud migration portfolios
.
This role requires ownership of multiple concurrent cloud migration programs
, executive-level stakeholder engagement, and leadership across strategy, delivery, governance, and financial management. The ideal candidate has led enterprise AWS migration initiatives involving complex application landscapes and large IT portfolios.
- Define portfolio-level migration roadmaps, timelines, and dependency models
- Oversee multiple concurrent cloud migration programs end-to-end
- Establish standardized governance, reporting, and delivery frameworks
- Balance resources, budgets, risks, and priorities across programs
- Act as the primary engagement leader for senior IT and business stakeholders
- Lead executive governance reviews, steering committees, and status forums
- Translate cloud migration strategies into measurable business outcomes
- Build trusted advisory relationships with enterprise customers
- Lead enterprise adoption using AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework
- Guide application portfolio assessment, rationalization, and migration wave planning
- Support migration strategies including rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, and retain
- Partner with architects and delivery teams to ensure scalable migration patterns
- Identify modernization, optimization, and cloud cost optimization opportunities
- Identify and mitigate delivery, dependency, and portfolio-level risks
- Manage program financials, forecasting, utilization, and margin targets
- Develop enterprise-level TCO and ROI business cases
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and enterprise governance standards
- 14–16 years of overall IT experience
- 7+ years in Program Management, Portfolio Management, or Customer Engagement leadership
- Proven experience managing enterprise AWS cloud migration portfolios
- Strong background in IT infrastructure, networking, and security concepts
- Experience working with large enterprise or Fortune-level clients
- Ability to manage multi-vendor, cross-functional teams
- Strong hands-on understanding of AWS cloud services and migration strategies
- Familiarity with cloud economics and Fin Ops practices
- Experience with application portfolio assessment and modernization
- Knowledge of Dev Ops, CI/CD, containerization, microservices, and serverless architectures
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman)
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience with tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- PMP and/or PgMP
- AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
- Azure or GCP cloud certifications (nice to have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Must be based on the U.S. East Coast
- Must be flexible to relocate anywhere in the U.S. after client assignment
- Comfortable working in hybrid and client-facing environments
- Strong communication, leadership, and executive presentation skills
