ADC Manager, Optics Systems Engineering

Key Job Responsibilities

• Implementing and/or improving internal processes, dashboards, and operations to achieve or exceed Internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Providing exceptional leadership and management for a staff of local and remote AWS employees
• Demonstrating ability to complete root cause identification and correction of errors without pointing fingers
• Developing professionals with a breadth and depth of experience, skillset, and career aspirations
• Being a great people manager, hiring, developing, motivating and mentoring a group of world-class engineers
• Retaining top talent, excelling in day-to-day people and performance management, and recruiting new engineers
• Distilling work into granular units and translating requirements into an actionable roadmap
• Delivering the right things at the right time amidst competing priorities

• 5+ years of people management experience
• 5+ years of technical program management experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
• Knowledge of the AWS product suite
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery
• Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on tight deadlines

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
