AI Engineer - Lead

Dark Wolf is seeking a highly motivated and self‑directed professional to fill the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to support our team in Northern Virginia. There are two available roles to be filled:
Mid‑Level and Senior Principal level.

• Design, develop, and implement scalable AI/ML computing infrastructures and application stacks.
• Build and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions from scratch.
• Transform machine learning models into APIs for integration with other applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver AI solutions.
• Conduct statistical analysis and interpret results to guide and optimize decision‑making.
• Manage data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature engineering to ensure data quality for model training.
• Optimize AI algorithms for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest AI and machine learning advancements, research, and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AI‑related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI applications.
• Document architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and standard operating procedures for AI solutions.
• Potentially lead cross‑functional teams in identifying and prioritizing areas where AI can provide business benefits.
• Advise stakeholders on AI strategy, technology, and policy issues.
• Automate AI infrastructures for the data science team.
• Evaluate and implement best practices in AI/ML, data mining, and analytics.

• Master’s in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 10+ years experience with 3+ years of demonstrated and related industry experience.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and/or R.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow, Keras, and/or PyTorch.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning), deep learning, and neural networks.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques. Familiarity with data management and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, SQL, No

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Understanding of basic algorithms, object‑oriented and functional design principles.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
