Systems Solution Engineer – ITSM​/ServiceNow

Job Description

Insight Xcite is seeking a Systems Solution Engineer to support a government client in designing and implementing a new IT Service Management (ITSM) solution using Service Now. This role will act as a strategic partner to government leads, shaping the “front door” for service offerings across the enterprise.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize business and technical requirements.
• Architect and propose Service Now-based solutions aligned with mission goals and user needs.
• Develop and deliver briefing materials, roadmaps, and progress updates for leadership.
• Drive solution design and delivery independently, while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Translate complex requirements into actionable plans, documentation, and technical designs.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, applying consulting and solution architecture experience to guide decision‑making.

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) — non‑negotiable. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
• Strong knowledge of Service Now capabilities, modules, and configuration options.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and prioritization.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Background in management consulting, professional services, or solution architecture.
• Experience supporting government clients or working in a federal environment is highly desirable.

• Service Now certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS‑ITSM, CAD).
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and enterprise service management.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
