As a Lead Technical Architect - Cloud at ePlus, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation—guiding a talented team of engineers in designing and delivering cutting‑edge, cloud‑based enterprise IT solutions. You’ll architect scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructures across platforms like AWS and Azure, ensuring every solution aligns seamlessly with our clients’ business goals and technical needs. YOURIMPACT
Essential Functions Include, but not limited to:
- Lead a team of Engineers, Sr. Engineers, Consultants, Sr. Consultants, and Architects focused on cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
- Provide Sales Engineering support, assist with LOE creation and SOW development, and design multi‑cloud and multi‑vendor solutions.
- Collaborate with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft) and their engineering teams for design assistance, reference architectures, and lab access.
- Research, design, and develop repeatable cloud solutions aligned with customer IT and business needs.
- Work with the ePlus AI services team to develop AI solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Assist in building and empowering members of the ePlus Cloud Services team.
- Work with the Cloud Services Director to develop cloud training paths and certification goals for each team member.
- Manage technical development, cloud competency growth, and team satisfaction.
- Organize internal cloud‑focused training and enablement.
- Provide input on employee performance reviews with a focus on cloud expertise.
- Support resource management and project staffing for cloud engagements.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with cloud vendors and technology partners.
- Serve as an escalation point for cloud architecture and implementation challenges.
- Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) for cloud projects within the region.
- Stay current on cloud technologies, services, and best practices through regular vendor engagement.
- Maintain multiple advanced cloud and security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP).
- Collaborate with Services Director and National Practice Leads to develop standardized cloud assessment, delivery, and testing documentation.
- Pursue continuing education and certifications relevant to cloud architecture and security.
- Engage directly with customers to understand cloud transformation goals and deliver solutions that meet ePlus’ standards.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience in IT, with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
- 5+ years in a Consultant or Architect role, preferably in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Multiple industry‑recognizable certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, VCP, CISSP).
- Excellent customer service, presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
- Strong business acumen including costing, P&L, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to think strategically and solve problems in dynamic cloud environments.
- Expertise in designing, planning, implementing, and supporting solutions using three or more of the following technologies:
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure)
- AI concepts and platforms
- Enterprise Network Infrastructure
- Cloud Security and Compliance
- Data Center Modernization
- Virtualization
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $170,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job‑related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.
