AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

• Travel up to 90% of expected work weeks to regions across AMER.
• Support cluster capacity needs by flying in to assist when required.
• Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
• Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment.
• Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
• Use material handling tools and equipment safely.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Operate in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ year of experience in a technical or vocational role such as computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project management.

• Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Industry‑standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
• Experience with medium to large, complex project scopes in ambiguous work environments.
• Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $55,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $125,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company – equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the total package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
