Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to innovation. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost. Amazon Web Services is hiring a Product Lifecycle Electrical Engineer with Medium Voltage Switchgear and/or Medium Voltage Transformer experience for our Electrical Products and Services team, a global engineering team responsible for the design and continuous innovation of products used within our expanding data center footprint.

Travel may be necessary and could be up to 30% for international projects and engineering information packages, with an understanding of international electrical product design requirements being helpful but not required.

  • Validate design through prototype, pre-production and first-of-kind builds, conducting DFx and value engineering analyses and updating design and documentation.
  • Collaborate with field engineering and commissioning teams to test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products.
  • Provide support for manufacturing activities for new products on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
  • Be a leader within the product development team and with internal and external teams that support the data center.
