- Location:
Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland (flexible to Herndon, VA). Must be willing to travel to Maryland offices for projects and meetings. - Position:
Full-time, Transportation Project Manager with 8-12 years’ experience. - Work arrangement: 2-3 days per week remote with necessary equipment; flexible as agreed with the Transportation Group Leader.
- Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC – required.
- 8 to 12 years’ experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project management experience.
- Proficiency with Micro Station/Open Roads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Leading multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, with a focus on multi-modal roadway projects.
- Serving as liaison between client and project team including external stakeholder agencies.
- Managing all technical resources on the project team including subconsultants.
- Preparing task proposals and establishing project pricing and budgets.
- Developing project management plans for assigned projects and preparing monthly progress reports.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules.
- Leading or participating in client meetings and presentations.
- Providing quality control reviews of submittals and deliverables.
- Mentoring and training junior staff.
- Assisting with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics / renderings, etc.).
- Assisting Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposals.
- Maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
