About the Role

The Specialist II, Procurement Analysis (aka Procurement Analyst) supports the day-to-day procurement activities of the Clearinghouse by ensuring efficient and accurate processing of purchase orders, acting as liaison between the company and vendors, and supporting the maintenance of accurate purchasing records. This role plays an important part in ensuring that goods and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Reporting to the Procurement Director, the incumbent will assist with vendor spend analysis and supplier performance monitoring.

Currently, this is a remote-first position, and this position may be required to periodically work on-site at our office and the frequency would depend on the department/division's requirements. Therefore, candidates must either reside within a reasonable distance to commute to our office or be willing to travel to our office in Herndon, when required.

How You Contribute
  • Demonstrate the Clearinghouse's core competencies:

  • Support the organization through the purchase requisition/order process to ensure accuracy of required information so vendor processing and invoice payment are not delayed, and purchase orders reflect agreed upon pricing and terms.
  • Ensure purchase requisitions/orders support 3‑way match principles and internal policies.
  • Assist Accounts Payable with any invoice discrepancies.
  • Administer T&E and Purchase Card programs along with authorization criteria.
  • Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, pricing, timing of delivery and compliant vendor records.
  • Support contract compliance and monitor timing of renewals.
  • Coordinate maintenance of third‑party purchase‑to‑pay application and vendor records.
  • Support Procurement Director with vendor spend analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Support Procurement Director in updating and maintaining corporate policies related to the procurement process.
  • Support Procurement Director in maintaining a preferred vendor list.
  • Demonstrate openness to new perspectives and ideas.
  • Build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the procurement process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A combination of education and experience including military service will also be considered.
  • 3 years procurement, purchasing, or related fields such as sourcing, vendor management, and contract administration.
