We are an educational center working with grade 4-12 students, part of a fast-growing chain of educational service providers. We are looking for a full or part-time office manager to be part of our team, assisting with a variety of office support responsibilities and helping us continue to grow and provide outstanding service to our clients. The successful applicant will be a bright, detail-oriented fast-learner, capable of handling a variety of tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic office environment.
An interest in contributing to the mission of providing quality educational services would be a plus.
HOURS:
The position has some flexibility to work out the specific schedule of work hours, but availability for some evening hours on most weekdays is important and late morning/early afternoon Saturday hours would be particularly useful.
- Client interaction & scheduling:
Handle incoming calls and emails, learn about the services we provide to be able to interact in a helpful way with our existing and prospective customers - Perform general administrative support, including managing client data in Excel and within our customer management application; scanning, copying, filing documents (electronic and paper); manage scheduling of appointments
- Learn our business processes, and be willing to work with a Center Director and our teaching and front office staff to support different projects
- Positive attitude: a willingness to learn new things and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our processes and quality of service
- Good communication skills both on the phone, in person and through email
- Strong organizational skills: attention to detail and accuracy; ability to multitask; ability to remember important details of clients
- Proficient software skills:
Adept at (or ability to quickly pick up) working with Excel, Word and Outlook; capacity to learn a client management software system
Prior experience managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment is a strong plus. There are potential opportunities for advancement for an office manager who masters the job and is adept at helping improve business operations.
Compensation$26 - $28/hour, plus an optional 401k match by employer.
