Senior Tax Preparer

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, flexible weekday hours; no weekend work required. Estimate 20 - 30 hours a week. Could go as high as 40 hours if available.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily reviewing Form 1040 individual returns; optional exposure to Fiduciary (1041) and Business returns (1120S/1065/1120) if preferred.
• Review work, spotting opportunities/changes that benefit clients, and ensuring accuracy and consistency. Needs someone who will not miss an opportunity to improve the outcome.
  • This position will assist Partner with tax return reviews
  • Primarily doing reviews and mid-to-high returns.
  • Minimal client communication (maybe an email here and there) unless someone prefers additional involvement
  • Needs someone to do thorough reviews to alleviate some of the Partner’s workload.
  • Work is complex that will require someone with a CPA or who is an enrolled agent

Requirements:

• CPA or Enrolled Agent required
• 5+ years of busy season experience with a few of those being in a review role
• High level person to do review for the tax returns – must have the experience and knowledge
• Someone who has done and reviewed extensive returns (not just basic 1040’s)
