Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver in Hernando, MS. We want the right trucker to join our team.

Video/CDL-Hiring.

• $1,800 on average per week – plus
• Solo miles: 1,700 miles per week
• Solo stops pay: $25.50 per stop (12 stops per week)
• Per diem pay: $60.00 per night (1‑3 nights per week)
• Paid training
• Schedule:
  
  7‑day operation; working 5½ days; starts weekends

• Deliver SOLOTo: TN, MS, AR, MO, KS, LA, WI, IA, IL
• Route:
  Regional
• Tractor type:
  Sleeper with APU, automatics
• Trailer type:
  Reefer and dry van, 53'
• Ryder will train on all needed equipment
• Other equipment: pallet jack
• Freight: driver assist unload – touch – groceries

• Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided
• Paid personal time off: starts day 1 – 80 hours accrued first year

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including verification from previous employers for last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
