We’re seeking a dynamic and adaptable Part-time Medical/Administrative Assistant who thrives performing both administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities:- Patient Intake and Records:
Conduct thorough patient interviews, gather medical histories, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHRs). - Appointment Coordination:
Efficiently schedule patient visits, manage calendars, and optimize provider schedules. - Insurance Navigation:
Assist patients with insurance forms, verify coverage, and process claims. - Front Desk Support:
Welcome patients, answer inquiries, and create a positive first impression. - Attention to Detail:
Ensure precision in data entry and documentation. - Patient Preparation:
Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during exams. - Vital Signs:
Proficiently measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.). - Specimen Collection:
Collect blood, urine, or other specimens for diagnostic testing. - Medication Administration:
Administer medications as directed by providers. - Patient
Education:
Explain treatment plans, medications, and post‑care instructions. - Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment.
- Certification:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. - Clinical
Skills:
Proficiency in basic clinical procedures (vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, etc.). - Administrative
Skills:
Familiarity with medical software and front desk operations and strong organizational skills. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Team Player:
Collaborate effectively with providers and fellow staff members. - Adaptability:
Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a growing clinic. - Compassion:
