This assignment provides a weekly blended rate of $1,900, based on three 12‑hour night shifts. This role is ideal for a compassionate L&D nurse who excels in supporting mothers through labor, birth, and immediate postpartum care.

Key Responsibilities of the L&D RN

Provide comprehensive obstetric care from labor onset through postpartum stabilization
Monitor fetal heart tones, contraction patterns, and maternal vitals
Assist with vaginal deliveries, C‑sections, and obstetric emergencies
Administer labor medications including oxytocin and epidural support
Educate mothers and families regarding postpartum care and newborn basics
Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards

Requirements of the L&D RN

Active TN RN license or compact eligibility
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
