Welder​/Fabricator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder II/Fabricator with Automated Sub Arc experience to join our team at G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI). The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating raw materials and components to create assemblies and crane parts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

* Weld metal components in various positions

* Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies

* Finish surfaces of material products and re-touch welds

* Examine finished work pieces for quality and defects

* Operate hand and power tools, including welding equipment

* Handle materials using forklifts and overhead cranes

* Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 2-5 years of related experience or training

* 3G and 4G FCAW welding certificate

* Valid driver's license and safe driving record

* Prior overhead crane experience preferred

* Strong understanding of welding equipment and accessories

* Flux Core Experience

* Automated Sub Arc Welding

Physical Demands:

* Frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel

* Occasionally sit, climb, or balance

* Lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds regularly, and 25 pounds frequently
