Field Research Assistant
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Hours may vary based on seasonal harvest demands.
Our client is seeking a Field Research Assistant to join their team. As a Research Assistant, you will be part of the Field Operations Teams supporting research operations. The ideal candidate will have reliability, communication skills and adaptability to align successfully in the organization.
What’s the Job?
- Assist with field research operations such as planting, weeding, data collection, and detasseling crew leadership.
- Support seed production activities throughout the season, including field checks and roguing.
- Coordinate closely with the Agronomy Supervisor and Area Specialists on daily tasks.
- Operate field equipment as needed and assist with harvest processes (husking, drying, conditioning) if the position extends into harvest season.
What’s Needed?
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather (hot, cold, windy).Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Comfortable working independently and within a team.
- Footwear requirements: ankle-support shoes for field work; steel-toe boots for warehouse tasks.
