The Parts Counter Person is responsible for providing customer service and sales support to customers seeking parts and accessories for vehicles. They must be knowledgeable about products, be able to assist customers in finding the right parts for their vehicle and keep accurate records of parts orders. They must also process payments and restock shelves when needed.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a Parts Counter Person is to provide customer service in a retail environment by assisting customers in selecting and purchasing parts and supplies. This includes taking orders, providing product information, recommending appropriate parts, and processing payments. The Parts Counter Person is also responsible for managing inventory, keeping the parts counter organized and stocked, and ensuring the accuracy of orders.
Parts Counter Person Summary
The Parts Counter Person is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately and efficiently selling parts and accessories. The Parts Counter Person is responsible for selling to customers, answering product inquiries, processing orders, and providing general assistance to customers. This role requires excellent customer service skills, an organized and detail-oriented work style, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Parts Counter Person must also have good communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and a working knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
Parts Counter Person Duties
- Greet customers and answer questions
- Assist customers with parts selection
- Operate cash register and process payments
- Order and receive parts
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory
- Keep parts counter area organized and clean
- Good customer service skills
- Knowledge of automotive parts
- Ability to use a computerized inventory system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Competitive hourly pay ($20.00- $40.00 D.O.E.)
