Job Description Responsibilities
- The Field Assistant will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks depending on the time of year.
- Tasks may include:
Field research operations related to planting, roguing, weeding, data collection, leading detasseling crews and performing field checks. - Assistant will coordinate closely with the Agronomy Supervisor and the Area Specialists to support day to day field activities.
- If positions extend through harvest the Assistant may provide support within station processes including husking, dryers, or conditioning.
- Successful candidates will need to use a company vehicle for work and must have an excellent driving record.
- Priority will be given to candidates with a strong focus on safety and good attention to detail.
