Position: IR RN in Hermiston, OR
A specialized nursing role is available in Interventional Radiology/Cardiology, requiring expertise in providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures such as angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization. This position demands collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while advocating for the patient's needs. The nurse will also supervise assigned personnel and may be required for on-call duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Administering medications, including anticoagulants and emergency drugs, maintaining sterile technique during procedures
• Monitoring patients receiving moderate sedation and providing appropriate interventions as needed
• Assisting physicians in procedures by preparing sterile instruments and anticipating needs
• Operating and troubleshooting physiological monitoring systems and documenting procedural events accurately
• Supporting patient preparation, positioning, and equipment setup
• Managing supplies, restocking, and ensuring proper cleaning and storage of devices
• Participating in allergy management and timeout procedures to ensure patient safety

Desired Qualifications and

Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school; BSN preferred
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology; three years preferred
• Current Oregon RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications required; specialty certifications such as RCIS and NIH Stroke Scale preferred
• Competent with infusion and PCA pumps, monitoring systems, and related medical equipment
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive care; bilingual English-Spanish skills are an advantage
