Good Shepherd Health Care System – Nursing Supervisor (Per‑Diem)

Pay Range: $54.26/hr – $82.98/hr

Overview

The Nursing Supervisor coordinates patient care activities for the shift, coordinates diagnostic procedures and/or surgeries outside of regular hours, and serves as the administrative representative and manager in the absence of the VP of Nursing. The role requires working knowledge of medical and legal rules and regulations and overall direction of nursing personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Accept responsibility for the coordination of all patient care activities.
  • Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

  • Qualifications
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; evidence of continuing education appropriate for a nursing supervisor.
    • Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience (required); previous nursing supervisor (desired).
    • Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Current RN license in Oregon; IV certification, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or Team Oregon, NIMS training, and CPI training.
    • Specialized Knowledge and

      Skills:

      Knowledge of the scope and complexity of patient age‑specific, cultural, physical, and psychosocial well‑being; mathematical computational skills; self‑motivated, responsible, role model, well organized.
    • Other: Bilingual and/or English‑Spanish speaking preferred; ability to work with culturally diverse population.
