Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator specializes in perioperative nursing and is responsible for providing patient care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the surgical experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality surgical patient care using the nursing process and established standards of care
• Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices
• Acting as a patient advocate throughout the surgical process
• Directing and supervising assigned personnel as needed
• Reporting to the Unit Nurse Manager, House Supervisor, or RN Team Leader

Agency nurses may be floated to other departments where they are qualified to provide patient care, prior to floating core staff.
