Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Technician role will transport, capture, and record all finished product, bulk product, materials, oil, and ingredients; monitor product quality and waste streams; actively identify and solve problems which affect safety, quality, and production costs. The technician works with the Warehouse Lead, Team Leaders, and line structure teams safely and efficiently, seamlessly changing positions between ATL, Manifest, Loadout/Oil/Receiving, and forklift operations to meet plant needs.

Job Description
  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures; participate in safety programs, attend shift daily direction meetings, engage in safety activities, perform risk assessments, and demonstrate ownership and leadership in personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Complete daily safety/maintenance check for forklift, record and report any malfunction.
  • Operate cohesively with additional Warehouse Technician team members to manage the warehouse area, including all job functions of ATL, Manifest, Loadout, Oil, Receiving, and forklift operations.
  • Ensure packaging maintains adequate amounts of material for daily operations and removes and replaces waste bins.
  • Observe and report any quality issues with finished product, such as damaged packaging, damaged bags, or inaccurate or illegible case codes, and ensure compliance with company standards and applicable laws.
  • Store product in proper freezer locations; restack, sort, and organize the freezer to maintain a neat appearance, accurate inventory, and proper bin height. Supply product for blending, repacking, and shipment to cold storage as needed. Follow FIFO, good housekeeping practices, and GMPs.
  • Unload oil by truck or rail, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly filled out and maintained.
  • Perform all duties associated with the startup and shutdown of manifest after each shift to ensure proper and accurate documentation of product manifested per shift.
  • Complete all forms accurately, timely, and legibly; identify cases, labels, cuts, colors, catalog numbers, day codes, and acceptable case conditions.
  • Perform any other task as directed by Warehouse Lead or Team Leaders.

Education / Certifications (Required & Preferred)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Skills And Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in warehousing, specifically in food manufacturing or a related field, preferred.
  • Ability to use multiple touchscreen computer panels, operate palletizer, stretch‑wrap machines, scan gun, and train on manifest printers, palletizer conveyors, roll‑up door operation, computers, Microsoft Office, and other equipment as assigned for multiple packaging lines.
  • Functions well in a team environment and contributes to a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Trained and qualified in ATL, Manifest, Loadout, Oil Receiving, and forklift operations.
  • Team member must be lock‑out/tag‑out qualified; training will be provided if needed.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all plant rules and safety policies as specified in the Lamb Weston Employee Handbook.
  • Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
  • Computer skills: basic knowledge of computer operation, data entry systems, and typing.
  • Language skills: effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing, follow instructions, and use two‑way radio to communicate.
Physical Environment / Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
  • Noise level may exceed 85 dB.
  • Regular work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequent exposure to humid conditions and moderate heat.
