Overview

AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team seeks a Physical Security System Project Manager and Technology Expert to lead physical security projects for data centers, interpret Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards, and collaborate with AWS architectural and engineering teams to ensure data centers meet high security standards.
The role includes ensuring local security teams have the technical knowledge and resources to meet the physical security mission after implementation.
- Manage installation of approved physical security system hardware, including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, CCTV, and other components of physical security systems.
- Design physical security systems for new construction, expansions, and retrofit projects.
- Prepare security design standards, typical drawings, and technical specification documents for vendor pricing; review vendor quotes and submit complete and accurate quote packages for project requisitions.
- Project manage multiple, concurrent security system installation projects and vendors.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for physical security system testing and acceptance, ensuring operational readiness at project completion.
- Prepare and archive project close-out documentation.
- Report vendor performance metrics regarding system installation, service delivery, and equipment availability/reliability.
- High School diploma or equivalent; travel up to 25% of the time.
- 2+ years of Security Operations experience in data center, logistics, manufacturing, retail or similar industries, including access control systems, CCTV, and defense in depth strategies.
- 2+ years of experience in physical security project management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services.
- Experience in program management and/or leading large-scale complex projects.
- 3+ years of experience with design, installation, and integration of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
- Professional certifications such as PSP, CPP, PMP.
