The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for a Learning & Development Specialist
1. This is a permanent full-time state position located within the STARBASE Program Home | Starbase Oregon at the Rees Training Center in Hermiston, Oregon.

This position is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees’ (AFSCME) union.

Provide motivational hands‑on, experiential instruction to students in compliance with the DoD STARBASE mandated curriculum while supporting/aiding the program operations and functions of the STARBASE Oregon mission through collaboration with superiors and peers.

The general work environment is an office and classroom situation. During base tours and outside activities, there may be exposure to high noise, hot or cold weather and/or rain. Extended hours standing during classroom instruction is routine.

Three (3) years of work experience planning, organizing, or delivering employee training programs, adult learning programs, youth instructional programs, or group presentations. Experience must demonstrate the application of the principles and practices of learning,

A bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, or related field.

An equivalent combination of education and experience.
