Social Worker - Adults Multi-Disciplinary Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Fostering Kinship Team to work Full Time based in Herefordshire.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £55,777 per annum.

• The primary responsibility of the role is completing high-quality Kinship & Connected Persons Assessments, ensuring decisions are clearly evidenced and firmly rooted in the best interests of the child. You will work closely with children, families and partner agencies to explore family networks and assess the suitability of potential carers.
• This role is ideal for a Social Worker with strong assessment skills who is passionate about enabling children to remain safely within their family networks wherever possible.
• Complete full connected persons (kinship) assessments, including viability assessments and Special Guardianship reports.
• Undertake analytical, child-centred assessments that consider risk, attachment and family dynamics.
• Engage sensitively and respectfully with children and families to identify strengths, needs and support requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across fostering, safeguarding and wider children’s services.
• Present assessments and recommendations to fostering panels.
• Contribute to service development and the promotion of best practice in Kinship Care.
• Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality case recording in line with statutory requirements.

Requirements for this Social Worker
role:

• A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of relevant legislation.
• Registered or eligible for registration.
