Behind the scenes there are a suite of business-critical systems that power everything from finance, invoicing, payroll to production, harvesting performance analytics and providing commercial insights.

As they continue to invest in their internal systems, they are looking to strengthen their digital team with an Application Support Engineer to join their small but perfectly formed team in Hereford.

You’ll be developing, maintaining and supporting a variety of integrated business applications within a SQL-driven, Microsoft-based environment that sits at the heart of daily operations.

Many of the systems are data-focused, so you’ll:

• Use SQL to extract, manipulate and analyse data
• Build dashboards and management information in Power BI
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and system issues
• Optimise stored procedures to improve performance and reliability
• Work closely with the Systems Developer, who leads on application development

This is a hands‑on role where your work directly impacts operational reporting, performance visibility and business decision‑making.

You’ll bring a broad mix of experience across application support, database management and possibly some development. Ideally, you’ll have experience with:

• SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, optimisation)
• Power BI or similar reporting tools
• Exposure to C# or the Microsoft stack
• Supporting business‑critical applications

Most importantly, you’ll enjoy solving real-world business problems, working with data, and taking ownership of systems that people rely on every single day.

There is a high degree of autonomy and responsibility from the get go with plenty of room to progress and a history of long tenues within the business.
