Medical Receptionist Extended Access

Hereford Medical Group is pleased to be extending its access to its registered patients by offering additional appointments during weekday evenings(18:30 to 20:00) and Saturdays (09:00 to 17:00).

We are looking from people who would like to join our medical receptionists team and support the extended hours. Shifts would typically be 18:15 to 20:15 weekday evenings and 9:00to 17:00 Saturdays.

Enhanced pay will apply with 1.5 x the agreed rate after 19:00hrs andfor Saturday working.

Thereis some flexibility in how shifts can be arranged across the month for example,one or two Saturdays or a small number of evening shifts but applicants shouldbe able to commit to a regular schedule.

You willbe working as part of a small,supportive team delivering services from our purpose-built site, with guidance from a dedicated service lead.

The Medical Receptionist Extended Access delivers a professional, friendly front of house service, directing patients to the right care, booking appointments, managing enquiries, and processing online forms. The role ensures smooth reception operations, accurate communication via phone and digital systems, and adherence to confidentiality, protocols, and patient service standards.

As a Medical Receptionist within our Extended Access team, you'll be the reassuring first point of contact for patients, helping them find the right support quickly and efficiently. You'll manage appointments, respond to enquiries, and use digital systems to communicate with patients, ensuring their journey through the practice is smooth and well coordinated. This role involves confidently guiding patients to the correct service, handling online requests, and keeping the reception area running seamlessly.

You'll work closely with the wider practice team, maintain confidentiality, and follow established procedures to support high quality, patient centred care.

£12.21 to £12.60 an hour Dependent on experience
