Accounts Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant

Hours: 24 hours per week (flexible across 3–4 days)

to support our busy finance function across multiple businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchase and sales ledger experience who is seeking a flexible, part-time role within a supportive team.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure the smooth running of day‑to‑day accounts operations, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting cashflow processes.

• Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
• Raising sales invoices from order processing systems
• Maintaining customer and supplier accounts
• Supporting credit control activities
• Resolving invoice queries with internal teams and external contacts
• Monitoring the accounts inbox
• Weekly bank reconciliations
• Preparing payment runs for approval
• Uploading payments to online banking systems
• Supporting cashflow forecasting and revenue tracking

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and multitasking skills
• Confident IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
• AAT Level 3 (or working towards) or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems
