Avara Foods Engineering Placement Programme 2026–2027. Do you have a passion for Engineering? Are you a current BEng (Bachelor of Engineering) student looking for a 12‑month placement in industry? As an inclusive, forward‑thinking business we take pride in our approach to Engineering across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Engineering Placement Student to join our Engineering Team, based at our advanced processing site in Hereford.

• £12.21 per hour
• Structured one‑year development programme to support you in your day‑to‑day placement and build skills for your future career

• Work on varied projects, focusing on improving engineering processes, quality and efficiency
• Be involved in maintenance and continuous improvement activities, contributing to problem‑solving projects that require teamwork as well as developing experience in delivering your own projects
• Take engineering responsibility within an operational area as an Asset Manager, monitoring downtime, organising Planned Maintenance, gathering and analysing data trends, conducting RCAs and FMEAs to drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Manage projects (under guidance) to resolve operational challenges and positively impact performance within an FMCG environment
• Be mentored in identifying needs, planning solutions, sourcing funding/resources, tendering and delivering projects, as well as developing training and technical documentation
