Health And Safety Advisor

Hereford until Summer 2026, then Birmingham-based.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading UK principal contractor, supporting a wide portfolio of projects across the South West and Midlands regions. The position will initially be based on a major project in Hereford (with lodging available), before moving on to support additional sites in the Birmingham area from summer 2026.

The ideal candidate will have civil engineering/infrastructure experience and be happy to be based on a site-focused position. Ideally commutable to both Hereford and Birmingham, but lodging will be supported near Hereford if preferred. British Nationals will only be considered for the position due to security clearance required.

• Support the delivery of the Health & Safety Strategy
• Drive performance against HSW KPIs at project and business levels
• Provide support and guidance on accident, incident and near-miss investigations
• Undertake regular site inspections when required
• Produce formal inspection and performance reports for leadership
• Ensure robust health & safety risk management processes are in place

• 3 years' experience working in health & safety
• NEBOSH Diploma level qualified or working towards
• Experience working in a heavy civil engineering industry or wider infrastructure would be considered
• Site-focused position, living allowance offer to lodge in Hereford until Summer 2026
