As VP of Global Commercial Strategy & Enablement, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing our worldwide commercial strategy and will directly report to the EVP, Global Commercial. In this role, you'll develop and lead a high-impact team dedicated to customer and market insights, commercial excellence, and strategic planning, making sure that regional actions are closely aligned with company goals.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Strategy and Analytics: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, market share, and customer loyalty by integrating sales, marketing, and business goals. Create new commercial models to pursue additional revenue opportunities.
- Go-To-Market
:
Design and execute advanced Go-to-Market strategies and commercial models, including digital solutions, to enable transformational growth and enhance sales effectiveness. - Business Analytics: Deliver actionable insights based on market data, sales metrics, and customer behavior analysis.
- Strategic Planning & Market Development: Direct long-term commercial strategies, evaluate emerging market opportunities, provide guidance on portfolio and pricing decisions, and support integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
:
Work proactively with leaders from various regions and departments—including marketing, finance, operations, and R&D—to foster continuous improvement. Represent Commercial Operations effectively in executive forums. - CRM Roadmap
:
Create and implement a three-year Salesforce plan covering technology and processes. - Sales Enablement
:
Develop and implement strategies that provide sales teams with essential tools and analytics to boost their effectiveness, productivity, and revenue generation. - Global Pricing
:
Develop and implement a comprehensive worldwide pricing optimization strategy that balances global consistency with local market requirements. Leverage data and advanced analytics, including AI, to drive profitability. Apply value-based and dynamic pricing models to effectively manage complex revenue streams across diverse markets.
- Translate strategy into revenue execution:
Convert enterprise strategy into clear commercial priorities, operating models, and field enablement that accelerate growth across regions and channels. - Drive commercial excellence at scale:
Build standardized yet flexible frameworks for sales effectiveness, pricing, incentives, and forecasting—improving productivity, predictability, and ROI. - Enable data-driven decision making:
Embed analytics, CRM, and performance dashboards that give leaders and field teams real-time insight into customers, pipeline, and execution gaps. - Accelerate launches and portfolio impact:
Lead end-to-end launch readiness and lifecycle optimization, aligning marketing, sales, market access, and operations to maximize speed and uptake. - Align people, capabilities, and culture:
Strengthen commercial talent, skills, and accountability through targeted enablement, governance, and change leadership—turning strategy into sustained performance.
- Education:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred. - Experience:
15+ years of progressive commercial leadership in life sciences, diagnostics, or medical technology. Proven success in global strategy execution and commercial transformation. - Skills:
Strategic and analytical thinker, expert in pricing and go-to-market models, strong leadership and change management, exceptional communication, and deep understanding of CRM, CLM, CPQ, and AI.
This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.
