Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. The RN utilizes therapeutic communication, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, identifies nursing problems related to individual patient needs, plans individualized patient care in an interdisciplinary approach, participates in performance improvement activities, and coordinates care that fosters the hospital’s mission and vision.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assess and evaluate patients' care needs and carry out physician orders.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
  • Identify nursing problems related to individual needs and plan individualized care using an interdisciplinary approach.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • One year of registered nurse experience required.
  • Acute Care RN experience preferred.

Tri Star Hendersonville Medical Center is a 150‑bed hospital that has provided high‑quality health care for over 40 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County and a Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Birth Center at Tri Star Hendersonville features Sumner County’s only Level II NICU services, spacious LDRP suites, and a lactation boutique for inpatient and outpatient services.
