Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Registered Nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. RNs must use independent and considerable judgment in providing a wide variety of services. As directed by a physician, RNs also give patients medicines and treatments.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all nursing care.
• React accordingly to emergencies.
• Administer medications & IV conscious sedation under physician's direction.
• Scrub and assist physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies.
• Provide accurate and timely nursing documentation in Medi Tech and Camtronics.
• Record, monitor, and demonstrate understanding of hemodynamic measurements and valve areas.
• Rotating call schedule for weekends.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current Nursing (RN) licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must have ACLS or complete ACLS training within 6 months of hire.
• At least 1 Year of Critical Care RN experience: ICU, ER.
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
