Acute Care Nurse – Tri Star Hendersonville Medical Center

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizing therapeutic communication, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, identifying nursing problems, and planning individualized patient care with an interdisciplinary approach. The RN will also participate in performance improvement activities and coordinate care that fosters the hospital’s mission and vision.

• Assess care plans, evaluate patients’ needs, and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
• Identify nursing problems and plan individualized care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.

• Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of registered nurse experience required.
• Acute Care RN experience preferred.
