Salary Range: $99,087 – $118,000 annually
(Final offer based on experience, education, skills, and market factors)
Overview
The Manager of Quality Assurance possesses a high degree of understanding of manufacturing quality practices. They assess and analyze product quality performance of ceramic products, work independently and with colleagues to research and coordinate root-cause analysis of electrical, mechanical, R&D, and prototype software issues. They provide timely professional details and summaries of findings, conduct internal audits and controls, and regularly interface with customer representatives and production to manage requirements and deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day quality operations related to the KII plant, location, or product line.
- Maintain internal quality management systems, oversee the audit program, and collaborate with contract development and manufacturing organizations to ensure compliance with KII and customer programs.
- Report to the Senior Quality Manager and keep leadership informed of significant returns, system issues, and quality initiatives.
- Provide quality oversight and manage projects for development and production of KII products and supplier programs. Lead committees, training, and roadmaps for non-quality team members. Participate in meetings and reviews including MRM, PBC, HE Review, and CAR Review Board.
- Ensure implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality management systems, including procedure writing, document control, deviations, change controls, investigations, CAPAs, CAR, and related training.
- Lead calibration program and hire/train technicians or outside vendors.
- Manage the KII audit program: audit preparation, execution, reporting, and follow-up with senior leadership.
- Manage staff of quality engineers and technicians; train, evaluate, motivate, and develop staff.
- Travel 10% between various U.S. locations; collaborate with sales, other quality teams, internal audit, and customers weekly.
- Establish and monitor process metrics and develop action plans for the plant, location, or division.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree
- 10+ years of experience in quality control
- 5 years’ experience managing quality staff
- Strong analytical skills
- Eligible to work in an ITAR environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for day-to-day quality operations related to the KII plant, location, or product line.

- Lead calibration programs and supervise technicians or vendors.
- Manage audit programs, including preparation, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
- Manage quality staff; train, evaluate, and develop personnel.
- Travel as required between locations; collaborate with internal teams and customers weekly.
- Establish metrics and corrective actions for performance improvement.
