Shift: 6:45 PM – 6:15 AM

Hours:

36 hours per week
Pay: $59.00/hour blended travel rate

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides high-quality, patient-centered care to moderately acute patients requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the night shift.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients, including cardiac and telemetry monitoring

• Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and document findings accurately

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols

• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or NC eligible)

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience

• BLS and ACLS required

• Ability to work night shifts and travel assignments
