The Depalletizer and Forklift Operator reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based at the Hendersonville, NC location. This role operates the depalletizer and forklift for the assigned line in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and a combination of forklift operation with a mechanical aptitude. Shift: 6pm–6am.

• Operate forklift to stack, retrieve, load and unload goods, supplies, and materials
• Load pallets of bottles or cans onto the depalletizer
• Make proper adjustments to the depalletizer settings after training and meet related KPIs (downtime)
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Record relevant information in Excel as required
• Collaborate with warehouse operators, production, and maintenance
• Adhere to all safety requirements and lock-out tag-out procedures
• Ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for the position; notify management of actual or potential issues
• Support SQF requirements and work with supervision to resolve safety and quality issues within scope
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least six months of experience in a manufacturing environment operating a forklift and other production equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Strong time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the food/beverage industry

This position requires sufficient physical ability to perform duties in a production setting.

• Frequent: talk/listen, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers for machinery operation; exposure to wet/humid conditions and temperature fluctuations.
• Occasional: squatting, kneeling, reaching above shoulder height; ability to wear a dust mask; potential confined entry under LOTO; exposure to toxic/ corrosive chemicals.
• Vision & Hearing: close/distance/color/peripheral vision; normal hearing; ability to detect hazards in a fast-paced environment with high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.
