GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe inspector is responsible for the handling, measurement, visual inspection, correction, and cleaning of parts. May carry out inspection duties in any or all the following areas: incoming parts, in-process, final inspection before shipment and in audits. Inspector also records data and ensures product meets all design and quality requirements in the work order.
REQUIREMENTS- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in a manufacturing lab inspecting product
- Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply to determine tolerances
- Vision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection microscopes
- 20/20 corrected vision - varies by division
- Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or clean-room apparel
- Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop
- Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands/ fingers
- Ability to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. depending on the specific function.
- ability to work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- eligible to work in an ITAR environment
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
