Aseptic Relief Operator, A-Shift (6a-6p)

The Aseptic Relief Operator reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for back filling and assisting Production positions of Filler Operator, Label Operator, and Case Packer Operator as needed. Key duties include maintaining product quality and safety, performing changeovers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Filler Operator: Operate filler machinery, monitor temperatures, perform CIP/Kosher/Organic washes, complete product and packaging changeovers, conduct quality tests, maintain clean work area, and handle water and chemical washes.
• Label Operator: Set up and run label machines, adjust settings, ensure safety compliance, perform quality checks, conduct label changes, manage cap coding equipment.
• Case Packer Operator: Operate case packing/sealing machines, adjust settings, manage safety devices, perform cut labels, monitor case flow, maintain glue level, change codes, and assist in size changeovers.

General duties include working in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining food safety and regulatory compliance, adopting SQF requirements, and performing additional related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Minimum six months in a manufacturing environment operating production equipment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong multitasking and time‑management abilities
• Must be able to read operating procedures and quality documentation

• Training in Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) use
• Forklift experience
• Experience in the food/beverage industry
• Consultative, influential, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills

• Typical manufacturing and office setting; requires driving a motor vehicle
• Frequent: standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs, use of hands and fingers to operate machinery, exposure to wet/humid conditions and temperature fluctuations.
• Occasional: squatting, kneeling, reaching above shoulder height, lifting up to 50 lbs, transporting distances up to 50 ft, wearing dust mask, performing confined entry.
• Vision: ability to use close and distance vision, color & peripheral vision; detect obstacles in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hearing: normal audio range; exposure to noise from machinery, forklifts, pumps, exhaust fans.
