General DescriptionThe Maintenance Specialist II is responsible for performing a wide range of routine maintenance tasks while continuing to develop technical skills and knowledge of company policies and procedures. This role supports building and plant operations and assists the facilities team with projects involving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
Work is performed under the close supervision of the Facilities Supervisor or Manager and generally follows established procedures. The Maintenance Specialist II handles semi-routine assignments, understands when minor deviations from standard practices are appropriate, and receives guidance on new or unfamiliar tasks. This position may work closely with outside vendors and actively participates in P5S initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor; may also take direction from Production Management and/or Maintenance Mechanics
- Troubleshoot and repair process and facility equipment, including electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Assist with scheduled monthly maintenance for production and facility equipment, as requested
- Manage and document office and administrative maintenance requests using SAP and Outlook
- Perform 5S activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Collaborate with managers, engineers, and departmental supervisors to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness
- Identify and immediately report any safety concerns or hazards
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities
- Remain flexible and open to working on a variety of machines, systems, or production lines
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong visual acuity and depth perception to accurately use inspection tools and equipment
- Willingness to comply with clean-room requirements, including wearing finger cots, masks, and other protective apparel as needed
