Kyocera International, Inc. is hiring an Inspector at our Hendersonville, NC facility!
Pay Range: $18‑$22 per hour (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills.)

The inspector is responsible for the handling, measurement, visual inspection, correction, and cleaning of parts. Duties may include incoming parts inspection, in‑process inspection, final inspection before shipment, and audits. The inspector records data and ensures products meet all design and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Visual inspection of various parts to verify adherence to customer specifications and/or work order.
- Use a variety of tools including fluorescent penetration inspection (FPI) and water wash.
- May cross‑train in other areas of quality or packaging and fill in when needed.
- Use dimensioning tools and handheld digital measuring devices daily.
- May be trained on CMM, optical comparator, and other tools; treat equipment safely.
- Know basic Excel and accurately enter data into spreadsheets.
- Inspect irregular‑sized parts with microscope, calipers, micrometer, and optical comparator.
- Comply with Kyocera International, Inc. policy, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ITAR regulations; may use SPC software.
- Participate in 5S and safety programs; clean and organize lab.
- Read specifications and mechanical drawings; ask questions when unclear.
- Complete detail‑oriented tasks and may create reports or analysis.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year experience in a manufacturing laboratory inspecting products.
- Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills to determine tolerances.
- Vision and depth perception suitable for inspection microscopes; 20/20 corrected vision (varies by division).
- Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or clean‑room apparel.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; bend, push, pull, reach, grip, turn, twist, stoop.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs as required.
- Work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Eligible to work in an ITAR environment.
Continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, regularly up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required: close vision.
Environmental ConditionsOccasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious locations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level usually loud.
