SummaryThe Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, provide support for other technologists, and help facilitate smooth patient flow. The role requires flexibility to work different shifts and/or at other campuses, troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve image processing and archiving issues. Ongoing education and adherence to imaging competencies, safety, and technical advances are expected.

- Performs examinations/procedures to assist patient throughput within the scope of the Manager’s license(s) and/or documented competencies.
- Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses.
- Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
- Follows PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalates issues to the PACS administrator or designee.
- Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; follows up appropriately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
- 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Basic computer experience required.
- Radiography (R) by ARRT required.
- Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT required within 1 year of hire.
- State Licensure required – Texas: MRT by TMB.
- BLS required.
