Overview
Fast Pace Urgent Care is seeking an X‑Ray Technologist to provide clinical and administrative support under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The role involves delivering outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response in addition to imaging.

Responsibilities- Provide clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track x‑ray orders to ensure timely completion and submission.
- Assist patients with proper positioning during the exam to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including HIPAA.
- Review exam images for initial read by provider and send final images to Radiology group for over‑read.
- Label laterality of all images using an initialed lead marker.
- Ensure no removable artifacts are present in the anatomy requested and document any artifacts.
- Address minor maintenance issues with the machines and follow up with nurse coordinator or Clinic Director for consultation before outsourcing calls.
- Monitor the condition of cassettes and other equipment for signs of wear or malfunction, and submit problems to the Imaging Director.
- Maintain cleaning of cassettes, chest bucky, and exam table after each use to avoid cross contamination.
- Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
- Triage patients by checking and recording vitals, collecting pertinent clinical history, and performing other basic nursing tasks when not directly involved in a radiographic exam.
- Monitor and read X‑Ray badge monthly and wear radiation monitors at all times in the X‑Ray room.
- Complete mandatory compliance training and comply with Company standards of operations.
- Welcome new employees on their first day, facilitate introductions, conduct clinic tours, and provide an overview of clinic processes.
- Assist new employees with learning activities, complete required training, and provide job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching opportunities.
- Establish friendly, cordial relations with all employees and clients, and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
- Perform the physical functions, use of senses, cognitive and environmental functions of the position as specified on the physical demands.
- ARRT License (Registered Technologist) or State License (Registered Technologist or Limited Scope) – active, in good standing and verifiable.
- TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment.
- Level 1:
High School Diploma, current CPR license, and at least 1 year of experience as a certified RT(R) or limited scope x‑ray tech in an urgent care setting (preferred). - Level 2:
Certified RTR with current CPR license, over 1 year of experience, and less than 3 years in direct patient care as an RTR. - Level 3:
Certified RTR with current CPR license, over 3 years of experience, and less than 7 years in direct patient care. - Level 4:
Certified RTR with current CPR license, over 7 years of experience in direct patient care. - Level 5:
Certified RTR with current CPR license, over 7 years of experience – additional administrative responsibilities such as scheduling and training may be required. - Additional responsibilities for all levels include working with an increased X‑Ray volume (12+ per day), establishing proficiency in ortho‑glass techniques for splinting or casting, and conducting ultrasound procedures.
- Additional experience required: training in bracing and specific fitting.
- Level 1:
