Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for an urgent backfill position. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to expecting mothers and their newborns in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong foundation in couplet care and ability to handle various situations in labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to laboring women and newborns.
• Assist in the delivery process and provide immediate post-delivery care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for both mother and infant.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using GE Centricity/Paragon EHR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Current certifications: NRP, BLS, and intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience with couplet care and LDRP practices.
• Some NICU experience is preferred.
