Bilingual, Customer Service Rep
This is a temporary, part-time position through June 30, 2026
. Call Center Staff report to the Call Center Supervisor and the Dean of Students. They provide support and guidance for prospective, current students, staff, faculty, and visitors.

- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting students and visitors, and responding to a wide range of inquiries about student services via phone, email, and in person.
- Initiate outgoing communications—including phone calls, emails, and text messages to current, prospective, and former students.
- Guide students and visitors to the appropriate VGCC departments, and provide accurate information about departments, staff, and faculty.
- Offer assistance and support to resolve complex issues, maintaining a high standard of customer service through in-person, telephone, email, text, and other communication channels.
- onstrate a commitment to serving VGCC’s community by helping students navigate the VGCC website, locating forms, MyVGCC, Moodle, VGCC student email accounts, and other needed information.
- Support recruitment and outreach initiatives by participating in various events.
- Provide students with general information about admissions, financial aid basics, advising, and VGCC.
- Collaborate with all areas of the VGCC community—including students, staff, and faculty—to share information and foster positive relationships across departments.
- Associate’s Degree or actively working toward an Associate’s Degree
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish not required but valued.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 25 pounds.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
