Spectrum Care Trust provides a vocational support service in Auckland for people with intellectual disabilities. These people are young, vibrant and ready to find their place in the world, and your job will be to help them do that!
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Community Support Worker you will take on tasks that are dynamic and will depend on the needs and dreams of each person. You will support people to find and follow those dreams; making friends, having fun, connecting and contributing to their local communities, continuing to grow personally, and to find work, education, and other meaningful occupation. A particular focus will be on assisting people to gain life and work experience, to develop skills which will help them into employment.
This might be in open employment- ordinary jobs available locally, or supported self-employment via social enterprises and micro-enterprises.

- Excellent, clear, understandable verbal and written English is a pre‑requisite to be considered for this role
If you are a non‑resident applying for this role you must meet the following INZ Level 3 skill requirements to be considered:
- Have worked in the care workforce for 3 years or more, and been paid at least the care workforce wage rate during that time, or
- A relevant qualification on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) — this must be at least a level 4 qualification for a role at skill level 3, or a diploma for a role at skill level 2.
