Join Tesla as an Inside Sales Advisor, where you will engage customers on the benefits of our energy products in the U.S. The role focuses on driving high volume pipeline activity and exceeding monthly order and fulfillment targets.
What To ExpectThe Tesla Advisor will provide engaging and informational interactions to existing and prospective customers on the benefits and advantages of Tesla energy products. Working primarily in the United States, the Advisor will leverage multiple forms of communication to welcome inquiries and facilitate project progression. You will target specific talking points for energy products depending on the audience, become an expert in our products and processes, and help Tesla products affect and enrich more lives around the world.
WhatYou'll Do
- Client Interaction:
Communicate with prospective and repeat customers via inbound/outbound calls, SMS, and email to nurture and prepare them for an energy product purchase or fulfillment. - Follow-up:
Respond to inbound requests about new orders or existing projects, assess customer needs, identify solutions, and deliver resolutions that exceed expectations. - Inspiration:
Influence customer purchases by promoting the Tesla brand, mission, and no‑stress educational approach. - Achieve monthly metric targets for both personal and group performance.
- Plan:
Maximize productivity through phone time, pre‑call planning, activity metrics, and structured call flow for qualification and objection handling. - Provide feedback and recommendations on communication efforts based on client interactions.
- Participate in company meetings and customer events; stay current on industry trends, best practices, and new technology.
- Self‑motivated and passionate, able to work effectively in a highly automated and collaborative sales environment.
- Strong relationship‑management skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts; proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening and writing skills.
- Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office, internet navigation, CRM).
- At least one year of full sales life‑cycle or project management experience, quota‑driven climate; business‑to‑consumer experience is a plus. A four‑year college degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Home Improvement Salesperson license through the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB).
