Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by leadership to help achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner; comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders when required; scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance; may work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions depending on role (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
