NURSING STUDENT APPRENTICE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (PER DIEM VARIED)
Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System. The hospital offers emergency care, surgical services, cardiovascular care, women’s health and maternity services, including a Level III NICU, outpatient wound care and two freestanding ERs. It is accredited as an Advanced Primary Heart Attack Center and an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and has earned recognitions from The Leapfrog Group and Fortune/PINC AITM.
The hospital opened in 2016.
Position supports patient care/service activities/procedures under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in the Emergency Department.
Job DescriptionResponsible for performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state board of nursing and within the Nevada Nurse Practice Act. Performs assigned duties under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

- Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least the first semester of the nursing program.
- License/Certification: Current BLS certification.
- Other: Nurse Apprentice must provide the most current competency check-off list from their school to their supervising manager and maintain current competencies. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the patient.
